Ich finde Mayim Bialik einfach super und habe einige ihrer Videos und Interviews gesehen. Deswegen dachte ich, das Buch wäre etwas für mich - schließlich kann auch ich als Mutter von zwei Jungs ein paar Tipps zur männlichen Pupertät gut gebrauchen. Aus den Medien und Buchbeschreibungen hatte ich den Eindruck gewonnen, das dieses Buch eben nicht nur etwas für die Jungs selbst ist, sondern auch für Erwachsene.Leider war das nicht der Fall. Aufgrund ihrer Ausbildung hatte ich einfach ein wenig mehr Hintergrund und Tiefe erwartet, es ist aber eben leider durch und durch für den einfachen Teenager geschrieben. Für mich in dem Alter wäre das Buch Verschwendung gewesen, weil ich nichts Neues gelernt hätte. Das amerikanische Bildunssystem ist aber eben anders und auch hierzulande gibt es bestimmt Jungs, die nicht mit dem Vorwissen ausgestattet werden. Für die ist es vielleicht hilfreich. Gut zu lesen ist es auf jeden Fall.
